The very early reviews have been mixed but the walleyes that were caught this morning were in 15 feet of water chasing jigs tipped with crawlers and leeches. All canoes and kayaks must be returned by 6pm. Your weather just got better. You Deserve A Good Paddling. Ernie Stewart purchased his first canoe in 1972. Out of his passion for canoeing, he started The River Rat’s Canoe Rental in 1979, one year before his son Bill was born. In 2005, Bill took over the family business. Bill received his Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Recreation from MTSU. He also spent two summers raft guiding on some of the Southeastern United States classic whitewater runs.
