Out and about in Moonee Valley - just another day in the suburbs. Wednesday, August 21, 2013. A nice solid looking steel box along the railway line in Moonee Ponds. It was manufactured by AR and Co, Hebburn, England. Can it have been in place since the line was electrified in 1918? Still in use if the padlock is anything to go by. Posted by Lenore Frost. http://artdecobuildings.blogspot.com/2015/01/water-tank-catonsville.html
Look up for inspiration and beauty. Sunday, January 18, 2015. Water Tank, Catonsville. For a purely functional structure it's got some nice decoration. As you can see from the wording above the door it was built in 1937 for the City of Baltimore Bureau of Water Supply. Art Deco Buildings: Astrid, Shanghai
http://artdecobuildings.blogspot.com/2015/02/astrid-shanghai.html
Look up for inspiration and beauty. Saturday, February 7, 2015. Astrid is one of my favourite buildings in Shanghai. That amazing decorative element is featured on the cover of Shanghai Art Deco. By Deke Erh and Tess Johnston and I was pleased to catch it in its best light. Both the main entrance and side entrance have their own stunning decoration as well. But back to the building. Astrid was completed in 1933 and was designed by W Livin-Goldstaedt. By Deke Erh and Tess Johnston. Posted by David Thompson.
