Blend for one minute at high speed, potato cup with 1 cup of milk. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, bring to a boil the remaining milk, cinnamon, sugar, salt and vanilla and cook over medium high heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, for 30 minutes to thicken.
