God – Chasing Faith
http://chasingfaith.org/category/god
December 8, 2014. 8220;For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God? There is no comparing God. Not to any man or any thing, and most definitely not to any other God. He does not compare. This whole passage in Psalm 18 shows God as one who stands with us in battle, who shields us, who trains us for war, a God who directs us and stabilises our feet. He is incomparable. In the middle of all of these wonderful character references we find He is also called the Rock. In 1 Sam 6:14.
Who’s Doing The Knocking – Chasing Faith
http://chasingfaith.org/whos-doing-the-knocking
Who’s Doing The Knocking. March 29, 2015. 8220;I love Jesus, he’s so helpful,” I think to myself as I turn back to my work. End scene. I get the feeling that sometimes I treat The Lord a bit like a P.A. I find out some bad news about someone who has been struggling through a hard time and I think, “Lord, why didn’t you lead me to pray for them? 8221; Or some scandal pops up in my world and I wonder why God didn’t give me a word of knowledge that this was going down? Is there someone who a needs a call?
Keys to your breakthrough – Part 1 – Chasing Faith

Keys to your breakthrough – Part 1. April 13, 2015. I want to take the time to unpack a little bit more of my last post. If you missed it you can read it here. I spoke about how important the role of Prayer, Fasting and Giving is when it comes to seeing our breakthrough. Over the years I have come to understand that we have an active part to play in our own promises, and I will unpack that in more detail in the next few posts. First I want to tell you a bit of a personal story. Am I saying that if you wa...

The Hard Questions – Chasing Faith
http://chasingfaith.org/the-hard-questions
March 12, 2015. I have a hard question – actually, several. Like, why was my baby born with a heart defect? And why did my baby live but my friends’ baby died? If God knit us together in our mothers’ womb and we are fearfully and wonderfully made (psalm 139) then why are some people made imperfect? Do I conclude that God is NOT FAIR and that His word is NOT TRUTH? After all, how can I believe that some of the Bible is truth, and some of it is not? Where do I go to from here? Pastor, Wife & Mum. Keys to y...
Call of God – Chasing Faith
http://chasingfaith.org/category/call-of-god
Faith is a risk. May 28, 2015. Some time ago I was having coffee with a friend and we were talking about the amazing ways that God supernaturally opens the doors for us and manoeuvres us into our destiny. What became very evident to me was the role that taking risks had to play in releasing us into our destiny. Here is my thought for you. If you are carrying a dream or call of God on your life that you are waiting to see fulfilled, what faith steps are you taking? What risks are you willing to take in or...
Bending God’s Ear – Chasing Faith
http://chasingfaith.org/bending-gods-ear
Bending God’s Ear. March 27, 2015. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with. Elijah, for instance, human just like us, prayed hard that it wouldn’t rain, and it didn’t not a drop for three and a half years. Then he prayed that it would rain, and it did. The showers came and everything started growing again. (James 5:16). God hears all prayers, but not all prayers are equal. Sometimes, we need to bend God’s ear. And wrestled with God for his blessing,. The pra...

God who gives strength. December 13, 2014. 8220;It is God who arms me with strength” (Psalm 18:32). I don’t believe that God deliberately leads us into times of hardship, I think life does a good enough job of that all on it’s own. But I do know that there is a lessons to be learned. Learning to tap into God’s Strength. Learning how to stretch you faith. Learning how to keep your eye fixed on God. Learning how to keep your joy. December 8, 2014. 8220;For who is God besides the LORD? There is no comparing...

Rachel about town
Optimist. Tea drinker. Documentary watcher. Moves to Cornwall. Tuesday, 21 April 2015. Today I was out running with a friend. It’s a lovely sunny day and we were taking it at a steady pace as we try to extend the distance we can cover. As we run, we chat. Cue man, sitting on a bench in the sunshine:. 8220;Maybe if you pair were talking less you could go a bit faster.”. I’m sorry – what now? Tell me, what do you say to that? Aware that bits of my body move when I run. All I know is that it’s 2015 and.

tales from the basement
Tales from the basement. Tuesday, 28 April 2015. On knowing when not to push. So the situation asks the following of me: do I pull a few all-nighters and get the work complete or do I bow down to circumstance and concede defeat in this case? A complicated enough question to be sure but have I mentioned that I am a high functioning, controlling perfectionist? So, how am I supposed to intuitively know when to push and when to let go? What if I don't need to complete four new pieces of work because, hang on!

Monday, May 17, 2010. Way back in January, I went on a bunch of new hikes, all up in the Sabino Canyon area. The first was Blackett's Ridge. It turned out to be a bit difficult, so luckily it was partly cloudy that day. Apparently. the shuttle could still get across. If we had just waited a few minutes, we could have hitched across the water with all the lazy people (who paid $8). Actually I'm joking, the shuttle goes 3 miles up to another trailhead, and I've paid for it, so I can't knock it. If beer wit...
