The Bleckwehls: Valentine's Weekend
http://thebleckwehls.blogspot.com/2010/02/valentines-weekend.html
February 19, 2010. Mike and I had a really great Valentine's weekend. It started off Friday night with mom making us a wonderful dinner followed by warm brownies and ice cream for dessert and finished the night by watching the olympics by the fire. We tried to relax after our long work weeks as well as getting ready for the big day ahead of us. Saturday was a very exciting day for us! On Sunday we went back out and made some additions to our registry and then it was time for Mike to head back to Lake Cit...

The Kavanaughs: September 2014
http://thekavanaughs.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 5, 2014. First day of kindergarten and high school. Can you believe that's the real actual title of this post? And if I think about it too much I'll start bawling! It was a blessing that Calvin was home to take her - she does much better when he drops her off. This morning when I dropped her off, she was clingy and didn't want me to leave. But her teacher grabbed her hand, and off she went! First day breakfast - Rice Krispies - her new favorite! Aren't their little lockers so cute?

The Kavanaughs: November 2014
http://thekavanaughs.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 23, 2014. My girl loves to write and draw! Every time we go to Mom and Dad's without the dogs, she has to write them cards. And then give them to the dogs when we get back. Precious note. I think they must have learned about how to write the chapter:verses in Sunday School this day. She spent quite a while one evening cutting out all those letters and gluing them to the paper! She loves that dog so much - I really, really hope Ellie lives a LONG life. 3 from kindergarten, 2 from 4K and 1...

The Kavanaughs: September 2012

Saturday, September 29, 2012. A week at home. Abel LOVES the mixer. He would walk in to the kitchen just to point at the Kitchen Aid. So when he got to help, he was thrilled! This rocking chair was quite a hit - both Abel and Ella loved climbing in, getting off. Climbing in, getting off. We had beautiful weather all week long and the kids got to spend a lot of time outside hanging out. Abel also loves playing the piano! Yes, he's always smiling. Seriously. And this little one is pretty smiley too! Their ...

The Kavanaughs: April 2014
http://thekavanaughs.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 11, 2014. Last weekend we took advantage of the gorgeous day and went to Govin's farm. We love going to see and hold the baby animals. We took a wagon ride in and Jocey got to sit on the horse before we got started. No fear at all from this girl - just hopped right on! She was most excited to hold the chicks. It was the last weekend the farm was open, and I typically like to go a little earlier - they're tinier and cuter. But less fragile now! He's a squirmy one! She was so proud. Here they...

The Kavanaughs: June 2013
http://thekavanaughs.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 15, 2013. We took a trip out to CA the middle of May to visit Katie, Jonathan and the kids, as well as babysit Ella and Ty while Katie and Brian went to a wedding a few hours away from Katie and Jonathan's house. Calvin's last day was the day before we left, so he was good and relaxed and ready to have 5 kids under 4 in a 2 bedroom apartment for 4 days! Jocelyn was so excited to go see Abel! Brian and Katie gave us quick 5 minute instructions, and they were out of there! They have a little...

The Kavanaughs: Jocelyn's 6th Birthday
http://thekavanaughs.blogspot.com/2014/11/jocelyns-6th-birthday.html
Sunday, November 23, 2014. At our house, November means crazy birthday weekends and Thanksgiving! We normally head over to Neenah to celebrate my grandma's birthday and see everyone over there. But with how Halloween and her birthday fell, and with Calvin having to be gone for work, we didn't make it over this year. Sad. We'll have to plan a different weekend soon! This was the first year we didn't have a big family party, because she had a friend party! We discovered that if you're going to make this ki...
