Boquete can be reached by car in about 30 minutes from David, Chiriqui. There are plenty of good Hotels in the area and also good travel guides available. But please beware and take a local guide along, many hikers have gotten lost in those forrests and its much better to be safe then sorry!

Crocodiles and Caimans are very much around in Panama, many live in and around Lake Gatun but can be found in many streams and wet areas of the rain forest and even out on Coiba Island there is a large one called Tito around the ranger station. So always keep your distance and dont go swimming in Lake Gatun! The image of this lazy crocodile was taken just from the first bridge at the entrance of the Pipeline Road. So keep your distance!
