A more obvious issue with volunteer samples is that they are far less generalisable that random sampling methods but they are infinitely more practical and cheaper. 16/10/2011 at 11:29 am. Mary Ainsworth proposed a method to help analysing human infants’ attachment types. The research she had conducted is under being in experimental settings, and has been named as ‘The Strange Situation’.
