Eat no meat day or try out a vegetarian diet day! August 14th, 2009. Wow a good majority of the vegetarians and vegans on my f-list are having dietary issues and rants going on today (it's funny how that happens in groups) A lot of the angst stems from the perception of their diets as bland and boring or the inability to find true vegan or vegetarian food in restaurants (or being flat out lied to about what is in their dishes). So yeah Friday Aug 21st.eat no meat day! Try and spread the word!

So I've been watching this community for a while, and I really love the idea of pocket shrines. It took me a while to find suitable tins though. Last night I made my first shrine, though I still have to decorate the outside of it. Anyone have suggestions for gluing to the metal so it doesn't pull off? I also spray painted it, so it has a coat over just the shiny metal surface. If you want to have a peek, here's the inside of my shrine. I based the top half off of Amy Brown's "Cloak of Stars.".
