Ok, so I know this is a horrible photo, but I forgot to take a picture until after I had eaten my sandwich! It was much yummier looking as a sandwich too! 1 can evaporated milk. I made this awhile back, but just haven't gotten it up! It's really good and smells like vegetable beef stew while it bakes (because it has vegetable beef soup in it! 5 or 6 potatoes. Onions - sliced (to suit your taste).

Thursday, July 29, 2010. 14 T (1 3/4 sticks) unsalted butter. 1/4 C granulated sugar. 2 C packed brown sugar. 2 C unbleached flour 2 T. 1/2 tsp. baking soda. 1/4 tsp. baking powder. 1/2 tsp. salt. 1 large egg yolk. Melt 10 T. butter in pan. Cook, swirling pan until butter turns brown (1-3 minutes). Put in large bowl. Put remaining 4 T. butter into hot butter to melt. Set aside for 15 minutes. Mix flour, soda, powder; set aside.
