MyFitnessPal - Free Calorie Counter. Thursday, March 7, 2013. So I got to 9:48 on the second mile and by the third I was at a 9:44 pace! I ended up running three miles in 30 minutes, and my fastest 5k to date of 31 minutes. What started out as an exciting year signing up for my first marathon has quickly turned in to one obstacle after another. At the end of January I had the flu and was out of running for three weeks getting my energy back. Finally recovering from that, I started building my confidence again with running. It's so important in life to be excited, happy and passionate about what you are doing and for me I am finding that person more and more every day. A few years ago I would have never been excited an entire 24 hours before taking a kickboxing class just because it sounds awesome and I can't wait to sweat.
