History of PFC Litigation. 10 Years of PFC Litigation. Hare Wynn Files Lawsuit Against 3M in 2002. In 2002, Hare Wynn filed a lawsuit against 3M, manufacturer of PFCs at plants in Alabama and Minnesota in the Circuit Court of Morgan County, Alabama. The lawsuit seeks damages for exposure to perfluorochemicals at or near 3Ms Decatur, Alabama, manufacturing facility. This case is still pending. In 2007, 3M entered into a Settlement Agreement and Consent Order with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
