Being the end of the season, there were very few people there. In general the museum was as I remembered it. The room heading to the back of the building, from the main entrance, had a small boat that had been loaded onto a frame, prior to being moved out. Forthcoming visit to the Nautical Museum. Paul Yates – Travel Writing. My travel writing and thoughts. Forthcoming visit to the Nautical Museum. October 26, 2014. I am flying to the Isle of Man on Tuesday evening with the intention of staying in Castletown for 2-3 nights. I hope to spend a few hours filming in and around the Nautical Museum. Some (or all of) the Manx National Heritage sites close for the winter on Sunday 2nd November, so this will be my last chance to see the yacht “Peggy” in her original boat cellar. Paul Yates – Blog. 8220;Raleigh Around Mann” was my planned cycle tour of the Isle of Man in July 2015 and 2016, using a Raleigh folding bike for transport. I hope to write a short story about the trip and publish it later in the year. I hope to return in 2016/7, either for a cycle ride around the island, or for special events, such as the 140th anniversary of the Groudle Glen Railway.
