Friday, 13 September 2013. Starting slowly, so I don't make any irreversible decisions, I'm surveying, measuring and photographing Beaded Man. The only intervention I've made so far is to start cleaning up the beads and pins from the broken head. Pins and beads soak in water then have the clay and glue cleaned off by hand individually. a very slow process. I have a long essay in me about what I set out achieve back at the beginning of January, but it's so long since I tried to be coherent about my art I'm struggling to commit myself. The beginning of the rebuild with layers of different thicknesses of felted wool sewn onto the stockingette and to each other.
