Follow our journey as myself, my husband and our 3 boys build a Palermo with Ryan Homes. Saturday, January 30, 2016. We have a hole! As promised we've been by daily this week. Just as promised they did clear the land on Tuesday, Wednesday staked out the house, Thursday dug the hole and Friday poured the footers. Talked to Kevin today, he said they wanted to bring the Bobcat in and clear out a bit more debris in the back. He also said they plan to pour the foundation walls Monday, depending on rain. Even ...

A Rome of Our Own: September 2014
http://aromeofourown.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
A Rome of Our Own. Building a Ryan Homes "Rome" floorplan in South Carolina. Thursday, September 25, 2014. So much progress in so litle time! Things have been moving along so fast at the homesite, I can't even keep up! Ryan homes certainly employs some speedy workmen! The day after our "pre" construction meeting I went down to the site and found our foundation being poured. We sat around and watched for a little while and got some nice views of them pouring the slab for our driveway. Cement truck at work.

Florence in Country Woods: November 2014
http://florenceincountrywoods.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Florence in Country Woods. Wednesday, November 19, 2014. We had our settlement this morning at 10am. The office is about 45 minutes from my mother in-laws, and traffic getting down there can be pretty bad sometimes, so we left early. We decided to leave around 8am, and hit one of the diners down there for breakfast. Get to the title agency, go in, sign a crap load of papers, and walked out homeowners. Florence in Country Woods: Long overdue update.
http://florenceincountrywoods.blogspot.com/2015/01/long-overdue-update.html
Florence in Country Woods. Monday, January 26, 2015. It's been a long time since i've updated, so on this snowy day I thought I would take some time to update my blog. Not having to clean 10-15 inches of snow off of them is equally awesome! We still have tons of things to do, but I think you get to a point where you just want to relax for a bit. Little bit at a time time now. I only have a couple of pics, but will be back soon with more. Hope everyone is doing well. January 26, 2015 at 7:46 PM. Only 2 mo...

A Rome of Our Own. Building a Ryan Homes "Rome" floorplan in South Carolina. Tuesday, October 28, 2014. All but the finishing touches. At this point all we are looking at is the finishing touches and the house will be complete! Without further ado here are the pictures! Elevation "C" 2 ft extension and centered windows. One thing I wished ...

Our Sweet Sewickley: February 2014
http://oursweetsewickley.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
This is our story about building our first house, a Sewickley from Ryan Homes. Saturday, February 22, 2014. Now that we're all approved and our final selections are locked in, we just have to wait for them to start building. They said we would definitely start by the end of March, but since we're approved and ready we might be moving up. I am hoping we start soon, I can't wait! My husband and I agreed it would be okay since were married and I did technically still owned the house, but still wouldn't me b...
