Building the Kingdom: May 2015
http://jamesanita.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 26, 2015. What do we do with our Vision? 8211; Part 1. You need to believe it. Have you ever heard a sermon and thought, “I don’t even think the preacher believes what is coming out of his mouth? Vision is at the core of leadership. It is Vision that drives you and your people year in and year out to achieve great things. It is Vision that convicts people to serve whole heartedly. Tell your church what it is. This gives your church ownership, buy in and helps them feel a part of the team.

Building the Kingdom: Purpose - Make Disciples
http://jamesanita.blogspot.com/2015/07/purpose-make-disciples.html
Wednesday, July 01, 2015. Purpose - Make Disciples. If I was asked the question, “Why does this ministry exist? I would say, “To make disciples”. I would suggest, this is the answer to every question directed at your ministry. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus says to his disciples. We need to be telling people to follow Jesus, put their trust in his death and resurrection and live for him. This is what disciple making is. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Building the Kingdom: October 2014
http://jamesanita.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 21, 2014. I sold my car recently. It was a reminder that I really don't have control over my life. I never knew if someone was going to contact me. People messaged me and didn't get back to me. People said they were coming around and didn't turn up. People had a look, left positive and later said they weren't interested. You haven't really sold a car until you have the cash in your hand. Do you really have control over what happens in your life? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Building the Kingdom: July 2014
http://jamesanita.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 31, 2014. Age range of leaders. I n the school holidays I lead and did the talks on two, two day holiday clubs. Monday 2 talks, Tuesday 2 talks, Wednesday off, then the same program for a different group of children Thursday, Friday. We had a good group of leaders. There might be a temptation to think we needed a bunch of Uni students who are on holidays as our leaders. That's not the case. The Bible doesn't suggest this as a leadership strategy. Building the Kingdom: June 2014
http://jamesanita.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 20, 2014. I love soccer, so the next month is the high light of the year. The Netherlands is my 2nd team, by last name - Veltmeyer. I watched them smash Spain on Saturday morning. There was one moment that I thought was great. It was straight after van Persie master class in how to score a header. After his goal he ran straight to his coach van Gaal who was waiting excitingly to give him a high 5. There was something real nice about a player and coach celebrating together. I was out running ...

Building the Kingdom: April 2015
http://jamesanita.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 27, 2015. Vision - part 1. Do you struggle to get people to help with ministry? Now, I'm not silly enough to say that this will solve all your problems; it will help though. The one big thing having vision gives you is buy in and ownership. Think about people in your parish who aren't involved in any ministry, they just sit in the pews each Sunday, straight after the service they leave, they probably don’t give. We refer to them as pew warmers because that’s all they do. Follower of Jesus&#...

Building the Kingdom: Dove tailing
http://jamesanita.blogspot.com/2015/07/dove-tailing.html
Tuesday, July 07, 2015. Your vision needs to dove tail to the purpose. This is a good way to check your vision. How does it line up with the purpose (which always stays the same). How does my vision and purpose dove tail together? What is a growing children’s and youth ministry? It is a ministry that is making disciples. What is real life? It is a life lived as a disciple.
