In keeping with our holistic philosophy, the Old Man's Gully house was built by the owners in 1994 from mud brick, recycled iron bark, louvres and corrugated iron. It is completely solar powered and relies on the thermal qualities of mud brick, the northern outlook and open fires for winter warmth. Designed by architect and family friend, Thomas Isaksson, the house sits easily in the landscape and enjoys sweeping views in all directions. The house comfortably accommodates three couples and six children.
