Today, as part of our India topic, we all took part in a India Hook Day. We enjoyed a number of different activities:. We are very privileged to be able to make use of the state of the art facilities at the new Oasis Lord's Hill building and we'll be going each week as part of our PE curriculum. Friday, 28 September 2012. What a wonderful community we have at Oakwood! This morning, we took part in Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning. To help raise money for families affected by cancer. Years 3 and 5 made some scrumptious cakes in school, including scones with jam and cream and chocolatey rocky road. Years 4 and 6 donated delicious cakes: home made rock buns, 'Cookie Monster' cupcakes and even some mini savoury pasties to name but a few. And what a turnout! A very big THANK YOU. Oakwood...

Their knowledge was good, but the House Captains told the story of a young girl in another part of the world who had been denied the right to an education and been punished for asking.
