Amos B - NYU Web Dev Fall 2008

Amos B - NYU Web Dev Fall 2008. Wednesday, December 24, 2008. Thanks for your hard work in this class. For most of you, I think it's obvious how much you learned. And your progress has been impressive to watch. In case you're interested, here is a break-down of grades in the class. As you'll see from the chart, I applied a "curve" to smooth out the numbers. However, since many students had very high grades, the curve did not have a drastic effect on lowliers. A's are between 91-100. B's are between 81-90.

Amos B - NYU Web Dev Fall 2008: Intro to E-Commerce

http://www.nyuwebdevf2008.blogspot.com/2008/12/intro-to-e-commerce.html

Amos B - NYU Web Dev Fall 2008. Friday, December 5, 2008. Usually, products use categorization. To make it easy for users to find the sort of products they're looking for.

Sunday, October 19, 2008. Class 5 - prototype.js and event observers. Things are getting a little more abstract with the introduction of prototypes. It is a case of learning by example and for this exercise, focusing on event observers, which seem to be very powerful. Very nice so far! Don't forget that when you mouse off of the thumbnail, the product info should disappear. so you need to do another event observer that detects mouseout events, and makes the product info divs invisible again. Saturday, November 8, 2008. Class 6 - intro to PHP. In class 6 we used PHP to templatize our e-commerce sites in order to reuse code for multiple pages; the concept of a controller and a view.
