Random thoughts about life in New Orleans. I recently moved back to New Orleans and took this photo on my way to do groceries because it reminded me of why I love this city so much – the beauty in its randomness. Here, life is a celebration. Random thoughts about life in New Orleans. New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. June 3, 2014. June 3, 2014. Food obsessed that I am, some of my favourite festival bites include:. This is always my first stop of the day, my festival brunch. It is a bread roll, not unlike a Panini, of which the center has been stuffed with a melted cheesy crawfish filling. A cheesy tomato crawfish fusilli pasta dish, that is unique to the Festival. COCHON DE LAIT PO BOY. Some of my personal highlights of the musical lin...

Random thoughts about life in New Orleans. August 5, 2014. August 5, 2014. And what would a New Orleans event be without some live music thrown in? A stage was set up mid-way along the street, showcasing local bands throughout the evening. This being a family event, fathers with daughters and mothers with sons could be seen dancing along amongst the loved up couples and humored partiers. All in all, it was another spectacular evening in this cultural city. Angola Rodeo →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Worship My Organ | notesonnola

Random thoughts about life in New Orleans. Every year, once a year for the past four years, a collection of musicians gather in town for Jazz Fest and consolidate at the Blue Nile on Frenchmen Street for one night to entertain music loving festival goers with an extended jam session. They do not practice, they do not release albums, but for one night a year they are “Worship My Organ”. April 28, 2014. April 29, 2014. Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Notes on Nature

Welcome to Notes on Nature. I’m writing to share my, thoughts, ideas, conversations and feelings on living here in this rural community in the woods of East Texas. They see nature as a duality of good things and bad things. They work to get rid of the bad things and believe they can still have the good things. To me, nature here is one contiguous system of living things with connections that have a history. Going way way back before our living memory of them. I’ve learned and experienced some of.

NOTES ON NIGHTLIFE

Sunday, March 23, 2014. Tribute to a close friend. I have been waiting a couple days to post anything on this sad subject. The feelings were fresh and sometimes its better to metabolize your thoughts, before saying anything. All of a sudden, I had this tight nit family of friends who have my back till I dip out on this molecular hub. But enough about me. First night we met.

Notes on Nolita

Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Problems Persist at Delicatessen. Just when Mark Thomas Amadei thought the troubles were over at Delicatessen, his recently opened Nolita restaurant, the New York Observer has just deemed it "undeniably the city’s most loathed new restaurant in 2008.". Since opening in July, the establishment has faced critical pans, trouble from its neighbors and, just last month, two robberies. After a slew of negative reviews (the restaurant was awarded zero stars by both the New York Times.

Wherever people act out of a prematurely fused, muddy communion, every action is conventional: every relation that such confusion leads to has its own convention, however unusual (i.e., in the ordinary sense immoral) it may be. by Ranier Maria Rilke in letters to young poet. You're out having fun. Elijah, come home please. Elijah, come home. She cries on my shoulder. And Joshua is three. I so long to hold her. You do this to me. I love you you're my brother.
