An attempt to record my year over in the UK. Thursday, 4 October 2007. Rome Day 3 – Post 3 of 3 – Trek Around Rome, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps. Thursday 4th October 2007. After our tour of the Vatican Roz and I stopped in for a toilet / beer break at a pub just up the road, and so began another pub / toilet crawl as we walked through Rome. We decided not to worry about heading back to the hostel for our free dinner and instead walk around and take in some of the sights. Pompeii - Post 6 of 6.

After a crappy shower in the hostel we headed over to the colosseum nice and early to avoid the bulk of the crowds. I absolutely loved the inside of the colosseum – it is such an amazing, interesting and massive place with so much history. We spent hours walking around there and looking at everything. After our huge day at Oktoberfest we got on our train and found our sleeper cabin. We arrived at the bus about 10 or 15 mins late - found the bus waiting for us - everyone else was on - so apologectically and still puffed we got on the bus and it took us back to Rome. Ok, so when i first arrived in thailand i couldnt figure out just what i was sposed to do in the toilet situation. see theres a bin for the toilet paper and a toilet, and a hose that extends from the wall but no actual toilet pape (at least not in my apartment). i couldnt figure out what i was sposed to actually do after the obvious business. Monday, June 18, 2007. Phuket, here i come! Well, i had my phone interview last week and yay! I got into the CELTA course in november in phuket. woo hoooooooooooooooo! If not, then the next cheapest option is the overland trek through the thailand, vietnam and cambodia. we'll see what happens but whatever we decide we will certainly enjoy not having to go back to work in japan!
