No one is sure how this happened, or when, but the doctor’s think it may be due to some sort of physical trauma in my childhood. My Somewhat Strange Life. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. As some of you may know, I went to St. Luke’s hospital last Wednesday on my kidney doctor’s orders to have a kidney biopsy performed. My kidney doctor called me today and…………. well, the results are in! Apparently I have some sort of kidney sclerosis that’s treatable with medication. The good news is : no dialysis for me at this point. YAY! I go to see my kidney doc on May 13th so it can’t be too terribly bad. As usual, I’ll keep you posted!

My Somewhat Strange Life. Sunday, January 31, 2010. It sure has been a while since I last updated my blog! Here’s what’s been happening:. I received news from my nephrologist (kidney doctor) that I have approximately 19% of my kidney function. I’m now, officially on the kidney transplant recipient list. What’s strange, though, is that I’m not on dialysis nor do I have any other physical signs of a malfunctioning kidney……….yet! O K enough about that! You can run but you can’t hide. I will be making my way...

My Somewhere Over The Rainbow. Friday, July 18, 2014. Tai had his surgery 1 week ago and everything went very very well! Our day started by Cass picking us up at 3:30 am. We arrived at the hospital early and they got us in and we were the first one's of the day. They started off by having to give him 3 rounds of eye drops and then we got taken back to the surgery area to meet the anesthesiologist. Everyone was super nice and made me feel everything was going to be alright. And he is still a smiley boy.
