I have to do a lot of things for them to consider giving the award, like references, a slight personal statements, etc. but it means a lot to me since that means a least some students had a very positive experience within my class. Michael and I are poor, and I don't think we'll be "un-poor" in the future. If this were just for me and Michael, we'd probably get a dress, rings, and elope, but since my mother would never forgive me. It makes me sad, just a little bit. I'm working hard to get ahead again, but my head feels like it's about to explode from going from not reading all week to reading so many pages of text ㅠㅠ. Me Myself. I. Saturday, July 28, 2012. It's been a while since I've written down happy thoughts. I should do it more often. Michael reminded me the other day that I should be happy since there are so many things to be happy about. He is right. I've been learning a lot lately. Michael says there is not a point where you are suddenly an adult. Thus, I will now focus on trying to do better and put my energy towards that then being sad. I'll take more control of my life and do what I want to do.

January 13, 2013. Discovering little bits and pieces of myself everyday. I watched the first few episodes of the drama and realised how pretty and rich Peranakan culture was. Because the show made me miss my grandmother even more, I called her to talk. Our conversation was mostly just me asking a bunch of questions about my ancestry and her answering them.
