One row of polar graphs has changed as I add the new year’s creations, but there is always an amazing set – it’s SOOOO easy to make cute pictures using polar equations and we really only just scratch the surface of possibilities. My cycling season has finally begun. May 10, 2015. I was putting my bike back in the shed with my toddler daughter when she spotted the bike she’ll hopefully be learning to ride on one day. She seemed pretty keen to have a go but couldn’t reach the pedals yet. I think I’ve still got a few months before I need to fit the stabilisers. For my last birthday, Lizzie got me the wool and pattern to knit my own pink cashmere bed socks, and they were my first introduction to cabling. When I look at them now I can see the unevenness as I struggled to find the right way to hold the wool, and keep the tension even (I knitted them before the cowl) but I am still proud of my first proper knitting project. Skip to primary content. Chocolate chip cookie monster. Chocolate chip cookies are one of my favourites- they taste of my childhood. One needs the proper chips for them, however, and these are difficult to obtain in the UK. Only Nestle Toll House chips will do. I pleaded with my mother to bring me some this past Christmas and she obliged, so last week I made a batch. They came out perfectly and were well-received by all who tasted them. The recipe is here. February 7, 2015. February 7, 2015. After a hearty breakfast I layered up and set off. Within the first hour I’d already reduced my goal to 40 miles. And after an hour and a half, on my way up Cheddar Gorge at a painfully slow speed I seriously considered just heading back home and calling it a day at around 30 miles.
