http://stitching-stars.blogspot.com/2014/09/a-new-quilt-for-autumn.html
I like to stitch and knit and add love to the garments I make. Welcome to my sewing/knitting Blog. Sunday, 7 September 2014. A new quilt for the Autumn. I've just recently finished a patchwork quilt for my bed, see above. After working on Larry's American themed quilt at the beginning of the year,. I was ready for something 'girlie' and this is the result. It's pink, red and flowery! Of course since I've finished it, the weather has turned warmer so I haven't actually used it yet but the time is coming.

I like to stitch and knit and add love to the garments I make. Welcome to my sewing/knitting Blog. Friday, 21 May 2010. This pretty dress is knitted in 4 ply. 4 ply works very well for baby clothes. It is not too bulky and yet it has a lot of warmth in it. The lacy pattern is not difficult to knit and looks very effective. I knitted this one to fit a size 18 - 20 inch baby. Detail of stitch below. 22 May 2010 at 07:34. This dress is absolutely gorgeous! 22 May 2010 at 08:41. 26 May 2010 at 15:41. If you ...

Stitching-stars: Knitted rompers
http://stitching-stars.blogspot.com/2010/05/knitted-rompers.html
I like to stitch and knit and add love to the garments I make. Welcome to my sewing/knitting Blog. Friday, 21 May 2010. I made this romper suit using sock wool, purchased in an American store. It is not quite the same ply as we have in England, but it is the equivalent of 4 ply. The wool is designed for knitting socks and knits up in an attractive fair isle pattern without having to keep changing wool. By knitting a larger garment, the pattern alters itself and interesting variations occur. I made this B...

Stitching-stars: Emu Coolspun
http://stitching-stars.blogspot.com/2010/11/emu-coolspun.html
I like to stitch and knit and add love to the garments I make. Welcome to my sewing/knitting Blog. Saturday, 6 November 2010. This is a tension square using Emu Coolspun cotton yarn. It knits up in a loose, bobbly fashion and is extremely good fun to use. I bought this one on the internet because I liked the colour. I have already made a couple of tops with it but it is more suitable for summer wear because it is so cool. It also washes well and can be put in the tumble drier. 6 November 2010 at 14:34.

Stitching-stars: Grandma doll
http://stitching-stars.blogspot.com/2011/03/grandma-doll.html
I like to stitch and knit and add love to the garments I make. Welcome to my sewing/knitting Blog. Tuesday, 8 March 2011. This is a grandma doll I am making for my friend. We have known each other since we were five years old and now that we are both grandmas, I think it is time to mark the occasion. First I made the body and then the clothes. She has removable knickers, petticoat, skirt, blouse and apron and I've only just finished the mop cap. I left some wrinkles in her cheeks! Now she needs a hat.
