The MAN Fan Club. Not too deep, not too personal, yet vulnerable. Thursday, August 05, 2010. Where Am I Supposed to Be? Did I delete an important email reminding me of my expectation to attend this inservice? I am not a planner kind of guy and have all the appointments and meetings rolling around in my mind all the time. Summer is almost over. The MAN Fan Club. Thursday, August 05, 2010. http://themanfc.blogspot.com/2010/08/school-count-down.html
The MAN Fan Club. Not too deep, not too personal, yet vulnerable. Monday, August 02, 2010. Can't really complain about having to get ready for school. 3 weeks from today we get live bodies in our rooms. In 10 days I officially report to our 9am beginning of the year Convocation. 2 years ago we had Ron Clark and he was wonderful. Being a teacher is a good thing. The pay is actually pretty decent. The hours are great. The time off is awesome. I'm psyching myself up! The MAN Fan Club. Monday, August 02, 2010.

http://themanfc.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
The MAN Fan Club. Not too deep, not too personal, yet vulnerable. Sunday, July 26, 2009. We had our favorite lunch, Durkins, with our son. Durkin informed me that the Cardinals were on national TV against the Phillies. After lunch we came home and my son got me to jump in our pool and play wiffle ball with him. Then a trip to the swingset to dry out. I think he is enjoying all the attention since sissy is gone. The MAN Fan Club. Sunday, July 26, 2009. Links to this post. Saturday, July 25, 2009. Saturday...

Mom, Ph.D.: February 2011
http://momandphd.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Mom, Ph.D. This is a blog about my endless pursuit of the perfect balance between being a good mom and being a successful academic. Sunday, February 27, 2011. Is a visiting professor job a bad career move? We are at the time in the academic job market cycle when some ABDs and new PhDs will begin considering visiting professor positions. I was about to accept a great TT job elsewhere, so I didn't apply. But I think I would have had a definite advantage in that job search. Right or wrong, faculty often fee...

Mom, Ph.D. This is a blog about my endless pursuit of the perfect balance between being a good mom and being a successful academic. Sunday, July 31, 2011. Wine, coffee, and now mixed drinks- much ado. When my partner and I were first together, he got me interested in wine tasting. We spent a good bit of money, learned to act pretentious, and took a trip to Napa-Sonoma. Then I got a job and had kids. Mom, Ph.D. Thursday, July 28, 2011. Juggling life as a mom and an engineer in academia. Balancing life as an associate professor in engineering at a research university and a mom to small children. Monday, February 14, 2011. It's the middle of crazy season. Snow days, sick kids and recruiting (faculty and grad students) they make for a crazy mix. There aren't enough hours in the day, add in vacation planning (summer already), summer camp scouting (again already? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Well THAT'S never happened before.
