http://andyandrae.blogspot.com/2009/03/youre-welcomei-think.html
Discovering the stories of life, love and Jesus in the inner city. Monday, 9 March 2009. You're Welcome.i think. It must have been within the first two weeks of me moving to bristol that i was invited to the Mysercoughs for lunch.and many sundays after that! Or just simple a handshake and 'welcome to our church! Welcome can't be about us trying to hang out with those that are different from us because that is what Jesus would do - if it is all we are really saying is this:. This is what leads to unreleva...

http://andyandrae.blogspot.com/2011/01/joining-in.html
Discovering the stories of life, love and Jesus in the inner city. Saturday, 22 January 2011. I think God has been trying to remind me of this for a while, but today i really get it. Join in with me in what I am doing. Join in with your friends and talk about what they think. Join in with your community in what they are feeling. Join in with your neighbor no matter how different they are from you. Join in with my passions and follow where they are leading. Join in with worship, even if its not your style.

Inner city dreamer: Story
http://andyandrae.blogspot.com/2010/12/story.html
Discovering the stories of life, love and Jesus in the inner city. Tuesday, 7 December 2010. I've been thinking about story and have recently been reminded of one of my favourite writers.Donald Miller. I remember listening to a talk he gave about story, and one point I loved was when he asked the audience to think about their life as a movie, and if their life was made into a movie what would the tag line be. essentially the summary of your life. Would it be along the lines of any of these. I have friend...

Inner city dreamer: you idiot....
http://andyandrae.blogspot.com/2011/07/yesterday-i-read-blog-about-mark.html
Discovering the stories of life, love and Jesus in the inner city. Tuesday, 12 July 2011. Yesterday I read a blog. About Mark Driscoll, i had never heard of Mark Driscoll but realised i had seen him on Twiiter (pastormark) bashing Rob Bell and Donald miller. I struggle not to worship Donald Miller due to my absolute love of his writing so natural, my first impressions was he was an idiot. Then i read this blog and i was right. He is an idiot. But i have never met him. I don't know what he is really like.

Have you got what we are looking for? They keep shouting no doubt with a lot of laughing and pointing at the reflective surface. Well lets see who has the last laugh’ and then as the Bears start chasing down the youth I imagine him saying ‘I may not have any hair left, but those Bears I’m commanding look pretty hairy’. But as som...

Inner city dreamer: on being...
http://andyandrae.blogspot.com/2010/11/on-being.html
Discovering the stories of life, love and Jesus in the inner city. Saturday, 13 November 2010. We have some new neighbors. They live sporadically on our front wall and are in the business of the trading of illegal substances. they seem pretty friendly. And how exactly does one react to these new neighbors? Firstly one does not refer to one selves as 'one' in front of them. One is pretty sure that would get one's head kicked in. I recently said in a post on here that I love living in Easton, that I am not...

Inner city dreamer: The mother
http://andyandrae.blogspot.com/2011/04/mother.html
Discovering the stories of life, love and Jesus in the inner city. Sunday, 24 April 2011. What if my child sacrificed their life for me? Would i be able to stand and watch? Would i not want to just take them down. And take them home. And hold them forever. And never let go. Wouldn't i want to tell them to stop. That the world will not care. That they matter more. That the kingdom could wait. That someone else could do this. Would i not want them just to stop being a son of God and just be my son. 25 Apri...

Persecution should not be ignored – the ugly bride. an honest view of church
https://theuglybride.wordpress.com/2014/11/14/persecution-should-not-be-ignored
The ugly bride. an honest view of church. The ugly bride. an honest view of church. November 14, 2014. Persecution should not be ignored. We boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.’. As Paul’s words were uttered into the ears of the first persecuted church I wonder how they felt hearing ‘glory in our sufferings.’ I honestly cannot begin to imagine. You are c...
