Monday, August 30, 2010. I thought this was a great scene. A galah (type of cockatoo) perched on an emu's food trough, while another little birdy picks through the emu's poop for a snack. On Pamela's last day in Oz we drove out to the Healesville Sanctuary, southeast of Melbourne. A glorified zoo, I suppose, with all native animals. Including wombats, tasmanian devils and platypuses. And the cutest koalas! Oh, and some big, nasty fruit bats! And here is what we actually saw . . . fog. Education/visitors ...

Monday, June 14, 2010. The Queen's birthday is a holiday here in Australia (yes, the Queen of England). Duncan's parents (Ian and Marina) were out for the weekend RVing and they stopped by for dinner. The leg of lamb we made for dinner, with 50 cloves of garlic, cooked for 6 hours. Pretty good for our first attempt. Sunday at the Pub. We spent a nice Sunday afternoon at a pub in Fitzroy (neighborhood of Melbourne). Duncs' friends Pete and Marzy visiting from Sydney. Winter afternoon in the park.
