According to Us: September 2013
http://accordingtocara.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 23, 2013. I hate the anxiety it brings with it. I hate the uncertainty the future seems to hold because of it. I hate the crossroads you happen to find yourself at due to it. I think a big reason why I stayed in my first marriage for so long was due to the fact that I didn't want things to change. Man that seems like such a silly belief. But at the time I was too scared of what the future might hold for me if I had to face life experiences alone. Do we ever really embrace it? Their musi...

According to Us: August 2013
http://accordingtocara.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Sunday, August 18th we were fortunate enough to spend all day exploring Salt Lake City before our 8PM flight. Our first visit was the restaurant called The Red Iguana. Featured on Drive In's, Diner's, and Dive's, this restaurant is a small hole in the wall Mexican food place that I was very skeptical about. I am not a huge Mexican food lover and always compare to places to my staple restaurant El Charro in Mesa. The State Capital is beautiful. Justin was meeting up with an old...

Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Good Eats - Austin, TX Style! About a month ago J and I were able to take a weekend trip to Austin, Texas to visit his sister Hannah. Hannah actually lived with us for just over a year and went off to school in Texas a few months back. Since we really don't need an excuse to travel, we jumped at the opportunity to see Hannah and visit a city that we may have otherwise skipped over. We jumped right in with both feet with Austin's foodie scene. We hit the jackpot here. When we ...

Monday, October 7, 2013. I plan on writing my thoughts regarding Conference. That happened this past weekend, but before I do that I wanted to describe to you the first Ladies Night I attended on Saturday while my man was off to the Priesthood Session of Conference. I have this friend that gets me into all sorts of trouble. Seriously, we are so mischievous together. We wanted to get together on Saturday to play for a bit while the men were off being spiritually fed. What better way to play than to shop!

Friday, July 17, 2015. Day 5 already in the city! We were excited to get this day going because this was the day we were doing a food tour of Little Italy. Plus it was Mom's final day with us so we wanted to make it all count. We got an earlier start to the day because we wanted to try out a doughnut placed called Dough. 4 donuts and 2 chocolate milks for only $8 and change - score! Mom In front of the deli ). Inside the deli waiting for our mozzarella and prosciutto. Lucky for us, when we arrived in Lit...

According to Us: July 2014
http://accordingtocara.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 24, 2014. It's been a whirlwind of emotions for me this month as my youngest sibling left on his mission. Casey was called to serve in the Managua, Nicaragua South Mission and reported to the Mexico City MTC July 23, 2014. This young man amazes me with his devotion to the Gospel and desire to leave his family for 2 years while he serves the Lord. This last week has been the most emotional to me for many reasons. The women then pointed towards our family. Casey had his "farewell" talk this ...

According to Us: NYC Day 3
http://accordingtocara.blogspot.com/2015/07/nyc-day-3.html
Wednesday, July 8, 2015. We had a 5:30am wake up call to get ready in time to attend a taping of Live with Kelly and Michael. Mind you 5:30am is actually 2:30am in AZ time.needless to say we were a little exhausted. Kelly and Michael have their tapings near the Lincoln Center and LDS temple so we jumped on a subway and in literally 5 minutes we were there. Brought me back to junior high school days. Our raffle numbers - but we didn't win anything - boo ). The food was OK - I had a BLT and Egg sandwich an...

According to Us: NYC Day 1 & 2
http://accordingtocara.blogspot.com/2015/07/nyc-day-1-2.html
Wednesday, July 8, 2015. NYC Day 1 and 2. My main motivation to blog this trip is because I do not want to forget a single thing that happened and hopefully this can be a great place for friends and family to view what we did and perhaps give some ideas for those looking to travel to NYC in the future. Finally at 1:30am we decided to bite the bullet and order a Gyro from a vendor - bad news - I couldn't even stomach mine so off to bed hungry I went. J is easy to please and was happy to eat both his a...
