One Boy. One Girl. Too Many Misadventures. May 28, 2010. Alex’s other best friend Little Angel got married to a fellow soldier in service but she chose not to have a military ceremony. Instead, she wore a beautiful white dress with her hair swept into curls and her groom wore a traditional tuxedo (minus the tails) but looked very dashing. I look up from the ring and see the couple looking at eachother in perfect happiness. Alex and Jess all dressed up for Little Angel's Wedding! May 28, 2010. Making my w...

One Boy. One Girl. Too Many Misadventures. November 11, 2010. Today is Veterans Day. I’ve seen a lot of things today about bravery, courage, freedom, saluting to those in service, but what I feel doesn’t quite match those feelings. This military child life of mine is equivalent of having everyone I love more than they know tied to service through one channel or another. To the men and women in the Armed Forces: Thank you for your service. With Only Love,. Laquo; Soulard Market. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

One Boy. One Girl. Too Many Misadventures. July 29, 2010. It All Started With Love. Or so the story goes. While in St. Louis Alex and I went to the National Geographic Pirate Exhibit. At the city’s museum. As cameras are not allowed in the specially created structure, no pictures were taken, but if you have the chance to see this traveling exhibit I highly encourage it. There is an entire science to this and within the winding tunnels you actually see the bits and pieces in various processes restoration.

Meet Me In St Louis | (Mis)Adventures For Two
https://misadventuresfortwo.wordpress.com/2010/07/27/meet-me-in-st-louis
One Boy. One Girl. Too Many Misadventures. July 27, 2010. Meet Me In St Louis. It’s a song from my childhood. I can’t remember specifics of the city as I passed through it as a child, but I remember the arch and my mother singing “Under The Bamboo Tree” in the front seat. Her rich alto voice filled the little Honda with “I like-a you and you like-a me…”. This weekend I’ll be driving to St. Louis in order to meet Alex. What the worst that could happen? It’s A Cake Walk,. Laquo; In Remembrance.

The Hollywood Machine: Cuba, Part 6
http://thehollywoodmachine.blogspot.com/2009/09/cuba-part-6.html
Friday, September 18, 2009. Cuba, Part 6. I stood there, at the edge of the hotel lobby, watching the old men play chess. A few minutes passed, and neither of them so much as glanced in my direction. The old man closer to me, hunched over on the stool, disembarked and headed around the corner, presumably to the bathroom. Not paying any attention to me. I was fascinated by the level of customer service, but I decided not to let it bother me. Excuse me, do you have any rooms available for the night? Sure,"...

The Hollywood Machine: Cuba, Part 1
http://thehollywoodmachine.blogspot.com/2009/08/cuba-part-1.html
Friday, August 28, 2009. Cuba, Part 1. It was early March, 2005. I had been milling around the apartment in West Hollywood for weeks. Trying to figure out something to do. Now, I wasn't prepared at that time, to do any basejumping, but the thought of spending a week or two at Monument Valley seemed pretty good to me. Spend a little time with nature. Get away from all the computers and monitors for a while. I'm thinking about going to Monument Valley. Ever heard of it? Yeah, but so what? You can be so sil...
Modern Domesticity: Is Thought Enough?
http://meghancolleen.blogspot.com/2010/10/is-thought-enough.html
Wednesday, October 6, 2010. This blog has never been about the thing I'm about to blog about. This blog is about cooking and crafting and having too much pumpkin, but the thing I'm about to blog about is also a part of who I am, so I feel compelled to share it with you now. Not a real-life friend as we've never met in person, but certainly a REAL life friend in that I feel I can count her as such - is going through something really scary right now. That said, your thoughts? October 6, 2010 at 6:13 PM.
Modern Domesticity: The Great Pumpkin
http://meghancolleen.blogspot.com/2010/09/great-pumpkin.html
Saturday, September 25, 2010. I am, officially, obsessed with pumpkin. This time of year I go wild for anything made with pumpkin, including coffee drinks, bread, cakes, muffins, pasta, and soups. This year, however, I'd read that there was a "pumpkin shortage," and that due to several poor harvest years in a row, we might not see the canned stuff gracing the aisles at our local supermarkets until November. Well, this injustice will not stand! So, a week ago I roasted and pureed. We couldn't cancel the A...

The Hollywood Machine: Cuba, Part 12
http://thehollywoodmachine.blogspot.com/2010/01/cuba-part-12.html
Wednesday, January 06, 2010. Cuba, Part 12. Our motorbikes did playful and sharp figure eights as the endless fields moved past us. We pegged our speedometers, as we rode into the hot, Cuban sun and between the towering limestone cliffs. A feeling of absolute freedom surrounded us- riding the scooters thru the Cuban countryside- hundreds of miles from Havana. To say we were in the middle of nowhere was an understatement! I put the bike on its kick-stand, removed my helmet, and surveyed the land around us.

Leaving the Oven On
Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Tofu with Peanut-Ginger Sauce. After spending the weekend traumatizing ourselves by watching Food, Inc. And Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. Consecutively on Netflix, the boyfriend and I have decided to shape up our eating acts. Gone are the days of working late followed by rushed fast food runs for fat-laden sustenance! Gone are the sodium-heavy frozen dinners for lunch! Gone are the butter and jam smeared bagels gulped down each morning! Prepare a meal with tofu that he actually likes.

Tuesday, October 4, 2011. Adventures in Mildly EXTREME Couponing. I watch Extreme Couponing. Its a guilty pleasure of mine. The other day on TLC, they were having a marathon leading up to either the season finale or a new season premiere. I cant remember which. I laid on the couch, a veritable vegetable at this point, and watched for hours as these insane women (and men) triumphed over the greedy corporate grocery stores and saved upwards of 90% on their ridiculously large totals. I found this tutorial.

Friday, October 23, 2015. Favorite Finds Friday: Fall Edition. It's been a loooooooong time since I've done a Favorite Finds Friday post, but with all of the fall stuff I've been loving lately, I figured now was the time to jump back in! 1 Old Navy Plaid Infinity Scarf. I can wear essentially the same outfit every few days, but it looks totally different because of the scarves. I found my new favorite scarf at Old Navy. The other day.and you know I only buy stuff on sale, so I snagged it for just $8!
