Double Dip of Hip: November 2013
http://doubledipofhip.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Roll out the Red. I want to share with you one of my favorite pieces recently. We found this dresser at Goodwill and fell in love with the shape and ornate original handles. We decided to go bold with this dresser and paint it red. I think it looks so royal with glossy red and original hardware. It just reminds me of glamor. Here is a picture of the finished dresser:. Stay tuned for more booth updates and a great before and after! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Roll out the Red.

Double Dip of Hip: Perfectly Painted Plant Pot
http://doubledipofhip.blogspot.com/2014/07/perfectly-painted-plant-pot.html
Sunday, July 27, 2014. Perfectly Painted Plant Pot. Our lovely realtor connected us with a woman who was downsizing. She had some seriously cool stuff, so we bought the whole lot for our booth and some for our house. I really loved a planter that we got from her, but the colors totally clashed with our house. I remembered that luckily, the previous owners had left buckets of paint that are the same colors as the house! I really liked the way it turned out and we planted some herbs in there! A CUP OF JO.

Double Dip of Hip: Let Me Updgrade You
http://doubledipofhip.blogspot.com/2014/06/let-me-updgrade-you.html
Sunday, June 8, 2014. Let Me Updgrade You. Do you remember this desk? Well we decided to upgrade it and paint it teal. We knew the gold would pop with the teal. I loved the open shelving of this desk before, but I feel like the colors just set it off. Here are the after pictures:. In the spirit of open shelved desks painted a shade of blue, here is a before picture of another desk we upgraded:. And as I am sure you guessed, here is the after picture of the desk painted blue in the booth:. A CUP OF JO.

Double Dip of Hip: September 2013
http://doubledipofhip.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 10, 2013. I know, I know, I have taken a month long hiatus. But I promise to you, a lot has happened in that month. We went on our honeymoon in Hawaii, I started a new internship (at a school), we got a new laptop, and I turned 25. What a crazy month, right? Well it has been, at least for me. Don't get me wrong, I love blogging. However, I inadvertently spent the last month living it up and just trying to keep up with life! Anyways, I have missed all of you and I am now back at it.

Double Dip of Hip: January 2014
http://doubledipofhip.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 26, 2014. This polar vortex, winter break, and snow days have turned me into Mrs. Holly Hobby. I have spent more times on the hobbies I already enjoy, such as working on pieces for our booth. I have also started on new ones. I have been reading books for my New Year's Resolution #Read26Indy, which you can read about in this post. I am half way through my third break of the year and I am loving substituting trashy TV for reading. I have read The Interestings. And Eleanor and Park. Knitting...

Double Dip of Hip: Hypnotic Headboard
http://doubledipofhip.blogspot.com/2014/04/hypnotic-headboard.html
Sunday, April 6, 2014. When we moved into our new house I knew there were some rooms I wanted to paint. One of those rooms was the bedroom. I kept seeing navy rooms on Pinterest. Now that you've seen the inspiration, let's get started with the tutorial:. Batting (from the fabric store). Staple Gun (from local hardware store). 1 Measure your headboard. I measured mine at two yards for width. 3 Lay out your batting on the floor and lay your headboard on top:. 8 Get out your strip of upholstery tack fronts ...
