推奨ブラウザ IE11 Chrome Firefox. どうしたことかと驚いていると、急に、 長男が われは牛頭天皇の神木なり、このところの守護神として長く庄内を守らん と口走ったのである。 敵軍に包囲されたとき、 入道は社殿に向かって、 我が軍を守らせよ と祈ったところ神社より白羽の矢が２本敵陣に飛び込んだ。 実際には、いままであった 城ヶ根 の城は飛騨に面していたため、信州方面への防御が必要になったからだと 考えられています。 この榊山神社 その頃は牛頭天王宮 にも神仏混合のお寺で別当雲台寺 真言宗 があり、僧侶が神社を管理していました。 明治元年、大政奉還(王政復古 政権が徳川から朝廷に変わる)後、神仏分離令によって寺院と神社が分かれる事となりましたが、 この地方では明治維新の復古神道政策に基ずく神道宗教確立のため、徹底的な廃仏毀釈が苗木藩の領地である田瀬地区、福岡地区、 高山地区、 で行なわれ寺院がなくなりました。 考えられるのは須佐之男命が詠んだ 八雲立つ出雲八重垣妻ごみに八重垣作るその 八重垣を が 日本初の和歌とされることに因んだのではないかと思われる。
