The Proud Garden: June 2015
http://theproudgarden.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Goodbye June, hello July. I only ever get a tiny yield from my rhubarb but added together with strawberry and it makes a delicious tart. Wednesday, June 10, 2015. 2015 is looking to be a good year in the garden. A proper spring season with mild temps made it possible to set out a lot of transplants in late April, and an early summer had done nothing but absolute good for the garden. I hope the weather continues on like this for the next few months! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Proud Garden: Midnight Beauty Seedless Black Grape
http://theproudgarden.blogspot.com/2010/09/midnight-beauty-seedless-black-grape.html
Monday, September 13, 2010. Midnight Beauty Seedless Black Grape. I found out that these were developed by the agri-business company Sun World. Under registered trademark which means that growing them in my garden will never happen. No seeds, no seedling, and being a hybrid guarantees that I wouldn't get the same plant anyway. September 13, 2010 at 11:38 PM. Oh mmm, black beauties indeed! September 14, 2010 at 8:31 AM. I bet these would make great raisins! September 14, 2010 at 8:49 AM. It might be trick...

The Proud Garden: December 2014
http://theproudgarden.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 25, 2014. Usually I buy only poinsettias for the holiday season but these are so easy to grow, I don't know why I never thought to include amaryllis too. The plant is on its second scape and there's another one peeking out of the bulb. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Blogging is cheap therapy but not as instantly gratifying as the retail kind. The Proud Garden: What I really wanted was Cherokee “Purple” sauce
http://theproudgarden.blogspot.com/2010/08/what-i-really-wanted-was-cherokee.html
Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Wanted was Cherokee “Purple” sauce. Surely I'm not the first. I love the color of Cherokee Purples sooooooooo. Much (spreads arms wide apart) that I was compelled to capture that deep smoky red within a delicious sauce. Well, I'm sorry to report that the purple. Hmmmmand then for dinner, I stuffed 5 Rouge d'Irak heirlooms with rice and pork sausage. They were so good that I didn't even think about taking photos. Tonight we eat homemade pizza topped with more tomatoes....Also,...

MAYBELLINE: Fire From The Heartland
http://maybellinemckelvey.blogspot.com/2010/09/fire-from-heartland.html
Little bunch of stuff bouncing around my noggin. Thursday, September 23, 2010. Fire From The Heartland. Is just plain good. It’s nice to know that I’m not alone in my thinking. It’s nice to know that we’re piping up. There will certainly be put downs from threatened people – mostly other women; but so what. I’ll be interested to read rebuttals; but mostly I’ll be interested to learn how many more think like me. Check out Fire From The Heartland. The Awakening of the Conservative Woman. Im not sure th...

MAYBELLINE: Palin, the Beatles, Charles Manson and more!
http://maybellinemckelvey.blogspot.com/2011/01/palin-beatles-charles-manson-and-more.html
Little bunch of stuff bouncing around my noggin. Sunday, January 9, 2011. Palin, the Beatles, Charles Manson and more! Here’s a little math to consider:. Sarah Palin : Jared Laughner. Beatles : Charles Manson. Oh, I don’t have to bother to explain the absurdity of that argument here. Anyone visiting here is like minded (typically). Let’s stay tuned and learn what facts are revealed as the investigation continues and hope for the best for those suffering. Thank you, finally a voice of reason! I also hav...

MAYBELLINE: June 2013
http://maybellinemckelvey.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Little bunch of stuff bouncing around my noggin. Friday, June 7, 2013. PRISM Reveal Is No Surprise. It's been well over a year since posting here. I am sparked by the revelation of the government collecting more information from it's citizens. Hasn't this always been going on? What isn't a surprise is those that screamed "foul" regarding the Patriot Act are now supportive of their boy, Obama, for amping up the data collection. Sheep will be sheep. I am hopeful that citizens will wake up and becom...Holly...

Old Dave's Garden
http://olddavesgarden.blogspot.com/2015/04/spring-has-arrived-sorry-for-being-gone.html
Friday, April 3, 2015. I've been watching a lot of British gardening shows on YouTube this last Winter. My language has changed just a bit after that much British influence. One of the things they talked about was "chitting" potatoes. I'm just about ready to plant the basement buckets with tomatoes and green peppers but that's for another post that will a little sooner than the last one. Until then plan on planting some thing this year. It will make you feel better. Friday, April 03, 2015. Welcome to Old...
