Sentiments: September 2008
http://sentimentsbyrosa.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Pondering Life, Travel, Culture, Spirituality, Creativity and Language in an effort to use words to build up rather than to tear down. Wednesday, September 10, 2008. We have this thing at our house called a Buddha Board. It's pretty cool, really. Here's how it works: Take the paintbrush, dip it in water and paint a picture on the board. The board magically turns black with the water. But don't get too attached- as the water on the board dries, the painted image disappears! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sentiments: I think we're alone now...
http://sentimentsbyrosa.blogspot.com/2010/01/i-think-were-alone-now.html
Pondering Life, Travel, Culture, Spirituality, Creativity and Language in an effort to use words to build up rather than to tear down. Sunday, January 10, 2010. I think we're alone now. We don't like talking about this feeling- or others like it. We think of it as negative, something to be avoided, something shameful. How, with deep and meaningful relationships, can one feel stark loneliness? Something is happening to us as human beings that can’t be explained by surface events or by the psychologi...

no more revolutions: an owl watches all this.
http://nomorerevolutions.blogspot.com/2010/10/owl-watches-all-this.html
Poems in process, life in focus. Oct 9, 2010. An owl watches all this. In this moment when life calms. And peace is here. The way an owl is suddenly noticed. And then is everything,. A shade of loneliness colors the rocks. And there is a low place in the ground. Where two friends could sit, backs against a tree. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I have done one braver thing Then all the Worthies. An owl watches all this. If I am about to die, are they poor enough to die . Some links for you.

http://nomorerevolutions.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Poems in process, life in focus. Aug 29, 2010. This is some verse that just flowed on out about my new home. I hope its a little coherent. Black and White, this. Old Jazz-town, boulevard-town. Marginal city, middle city. This cold brick town. Is a little-brother city,. A city to love and marry. This river-town is a home now. For whoever, wherever. The brick and broken sidewalk. Down Troost, down Prospect. That old Conestoga station. Is the thrum for years. Lived on top of, beside. The way real lovers do,.

wonderings and wanderings: Working Through Money
http://capturetheflaig.blogspot.com/2009/06/working-through-money.html
Run on sentences, play on words. Monday, June 29, 2009. Today I was in the office talking with Ruth Bloom and all the sudden she hands me a check. The check isn. 8217;t from her or the mission; someone sent that check to me. Now that check doesn. 8217;t have the largest amount of money I’ ve. Ever received (ahem, I did work in the school cafeteria), but it is probably the most significant check I’ ve. 8217;t have to ask for money to come here, but someone sent some anyway. So now what do I do? Don't get ...

http://nomorerevolutions.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Poems in process, life in focus. Sep 11, 2009. Revelation as the central question of our lives and liturgy. So I'm working with this John 2 text for youth group tonight. It hit me new this time around. On the one hand, I'm dealing with the juxtaposition of this text to the miracle of turning water into wine. On the other, I feel like I've been deeper in the ways that we sell sacrifices in the temple than ever before in my life. What would Jesus do with our church? My good friends are searching for a chur...

no more revolutions: July 2010
http://nomorerevolutions.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Poems in process, life in focus. Jul 18, 2010. A kindness given from a prostitute. Blackberries plucked off a cold roadside. Winter winds that drive the well-prepared. Inside warm homes, where sleep is. A touch from a stranger. Someone else's beautiful tattoo. A scab that forms over a wound. Where evil has cut through soft skin. This touch of divine order. This cup is the unlikely key. Is the breaking out of false time. This window has a scarlet cord. That drips blackberry juice. Off chins and bird-beaks.

Sentiments: ideas?
http://sentimentsbyrosa.blogspot.com/2010/02/ideas.html
Pondering Life, Travel, Culture, Spirituality, Creativity and Language in an effort to use words to build up rather than to tear down. Sunday, February 28, 2010. 12609 (a working draft.this needs revision, and i need ideas for it.). We were surprisingly pure white. Like the whiskers of a man. Grown old overnight by. Some old dark magic. Though we’d spent years in. Trying to make sense out. Of the smoke and ashes. Though we’d walked miles in. Carving circles of regret. In the unwilling dirt. Even I achiev...

Sentiments: January 2009
http://sentimentsbyrosa.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Pondering Life, Travel, Culture, Spirituality, Creativity and Language in an effort to use words to build up rather than to tear down. Saturday, January 31, 2009. La luz del sol. Waking up without you is like drinking from an empty cup." - Damien Rice. Though the sun had passed the horizon and was then lighting a new morning around the globe as I entered from the east, I somehow drove into that gentle sunbeam, where no matter what, I know that I truly love living in Aberdeen.
