Physical Education 6th and 7th: May 2008
http://hoffpe67lcms.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 29, 2008. Week 3: Thing 6. After looking at Flickr as well as what some of my cohorts had to say, I went to picasa. It seems easier for me although I thought you could modify/enhance pictures but I couldn't find that. I also found some great websites for taking pictures and making them into photo books, canvas art, calendars and such. www.canvaspress.com looks like it could be great! After having this baby I may have to test it out. Friday, May 23, 2008. Week 3: Thing 5. Monday, May 19, 2008.

Saturday, July 12, 2008. Week 9: Thing 20. But do not have much experience with other video sites. I usually don't spend too much time looking at videos but so many have been in the news since the site launched that it is hard to not look at some! Post it for all to see. Thinking more about this, I also spent time looking up videos with footage of previous Olympics and was able to find fascinating footage of Jesse Owens at the Berlin Olympics http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Tuesday, July 8, 2008. Week 8: Thing 19. I spent some time exploring LibraryThing and found I would not have a need for it. As a PE teacher, I would not use it. Personally, I do not see to much benefit. It is nice to know it is out there though if I need to look up a book or a review of a book. I think this is one of the sites that I would get bored using. I don't think anyone could possibly "adopt" all these tools without going nuts! July 9, 2008 at 11:21 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Week 7: ...

Merit Badge Handbook for Grown-Up Girls. This blog is dedicated to Lauren Catuzzi Grandcolas' book "You Can Do It" The Merit Badge Handbook for Grown-Up Girls. Thursday, December 11, 2008. Badge 16 - Go World Wide. This is a badge about building a website. Ok, well I've done that (repeatedly) so my spin on this badge is to revamp my main website and connect all of my other websites and organize my online persona. To start with I'm collecting my websites - obnoxious isn't it. Http:/ www.hamres.com.

Friday, August 1, 2008. Week 9: Thing 23. When I began this class I thought I was pretty current on my knowledge of technology. What I found out through the discovery excercises. Was I had a lot of learning to do! I realized that although I knew what certain things were (blog, pod casts. Etc) I had zero experience. With actually using most of them. Can you really know about something without the experience? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Physical Education 6th and 7th. Overuse sports injuries in kids.

Saturday, July 5, 2008. Week 7: Thing 17. I have experienced my first Wiki sandbox posting! I think I did it correctly but I am unsure of why everything was related to a dog in the postings! Oh well, it gets people talking. I also created a wiki with PBWiki and am enjoying exploring it and making changes. Are your students ever required to write reports in PE? If so, and they are allowed to work in groups- then the wiki could be a way for them to collaborate on the report. July 5, 2008 at 1:03 PM.

Friday, July 18, 2008. Week 9: Thing 21. Definitely some good info. there. Since I am due with my first baby any day I found a podcast regarding this topic and a few of the episodes sound pretty good. The plan is to be able to listen to them while out for walks, etc. Once I manage to get the updates regularly and make sure everything is worked out I can venture off to new stuff. I have seen pod casts from some websites I periodically visit. Then maybe one day take it to the classroom. Agoura Hills, Ca.
