Hoc Est Corpus Meum. Scripture and theology meet here, where a young man explores his faith and seeks God's will for his life. Monday, May 5, 2008. Life in general has, to me, become quite hectic and nerve-wracking, peaceful and happy, all at the same time. Have I not had the background and teaching that enables one to see? I assert th...

Lily Maiden: April 2011
http://lily-maiden.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
8220;Like a lily among thorns, so is my darling among the maidens.” (Song of Songs 2:2). Tuesday, April 12, 2011. We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? That is why Lent is about death. We have to DIE to our old selves, DIE to sin so that Christ can make us a new creation. Death is always painful. But resurrection is beyond the best we can imagine! Lily Maiden: October 2010

8220;Like a lily among thorns, so is my darling among the maidens.” (Song of Songs 2:2). Sunday, October 24, 2010. I wrote this as a comment on a friend's blog. And thought I would share it here, too. What does God’s love look like? His love is manifest not only to our sight, but each of our senses given to us for the purpose of experiencing and taking in His goodness! How do you know God loves you? And I am always moved by the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. When He appeared to St. Margaret ...When ...

Hoc Est Corpus Meum. Scripture and theology meet here, where a young man explores his faith and seeks God's will for his life. Friday, February 6, 2009. I suppose that this post will be more on personal reflections than theological-biblical commentary. For us to make it to heaven. Let us pray that we may come to recognize our weakness, His love, and our complete need for Him in all things, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hoc Est Corpus Meum. Scripture and theology meet here, where a young man explores his faith and seeks God's will for his life. Wednesday, September 17, 2008. Ezekiel 36: Old Testament Types of New Testament Realities. During a Theology class last quarter, we were reading from the book of Ezekiel, and I noticed something quite interesting and profound. Due to the great number of assignments that I had to complete, however, I forgot to write a commentary on it and it slipped into the recesses of my mind.

Lily Maiden: August 2010
http://lily-maiden.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
8220;Like a lily among thorns, so is my darling among the maidens.” (Song of Songs 2:2). Friday, August 27, 2010. Love Is Not Tolerance". What does it really mean to love authentically? How do we walk the fine line between tender and tough love? The great speaker and TV evangelist Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen offers timeless guidance in this poem. Love is Not Tolerance. Christian love bears evil, but it does not tolerate it. It does penance for the sins of others, but it is not broadminded about sin. I hav...

Hoc Est Corpus Meum: Reflections on God's Love; Grace
http://hocestcorpusmeum.blogspot.com/2008/07/reflections-on-gods-love-grace.html
Hoc Est Corpus Meum. Scripture and theology meet here, where a young man explores his faith and seeks God's will for his life. Friday, July 11, 2008. Reflections on God's Love; Grace. God showers down graces upon us at all moments of all days. We may not always have what we want, but we always have what He knows is best for us. At times, that could. Be nothing (material), but it is then that we are to turn to Him in humility and meekness, begging Him to carry us through the seemingly hopeless times.
