St Mary's was built in the 14th century as the chapel of the Knights Hopitaller who succeeded the Knights Templar at Temple Balsall. The Old Hall, the former Preceptory of the Knights Templar in Warwickshire, housed the archaeological finds and also the Leveson Centre where our conference takes place.
