Gnomes at the Gates of Dawn: January 2012
https://kickthatgnome.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 19, 2012. Custom Gnomes. Superheroes Edition. I find that people love to be creative, and the mediums to be creative in are pretty limitless. This of course extends to all hobbies, including garden gnomes. The most interesting creative things happen when two or more hobbies and mediums cross-over. In this case, gnomes and comic books make for cool customization. I would like to present Kris the Papier Boy's How to Guide to Gnome Customization. Here are a few finished products:.

Sunday, January 27, 2013. A Home isn't a Home without a Gnome. Sometimes there are pretty clever advertising campaigns out there that make me laugh. They don't do what advertising campaigns are supposed to and get me to go out and buy their product. But they do entertain me, and for that, I'm grateful those corporations decided to throw away millions on these ad spots. Saturday, January 26, 2013. I found this while perusing the internets. This costume is full of win! The shoes are the best part.

Monday, February 20, 2012. Wroclaw: Gnome Street Art? Recently, there has been an explosion of interest in renegade street artists. Mostly fueled by photoblogs and Banksy's indie film Exit Through the Gift Shop. Street art has become a medium for revolutionary political and social statements for generations. This is based on the presumption that once seen, this art can start the public thinking. There are a some articles from travel blogs about Wroclaw. Here are a few:. Europe a la Carte. It's a good day.

Monday, March 17, 2014. Which is ridiculous. I didn't realize YouTube was a prescription site. The same story is reported in the website Weird Fresno, another blogspot blog about strange, cryptozoological, haunting, and supernatural stories from the Fresno, CA area. Thursday, December 13, 2012. That Gnome is Radioactive! Sometimes I like to watch television. Bones is a forensics show on Fox, and episode 106 dealt with a murder involving a very valuable gnome. The plot of the episode can be found here. In the television show, this particular gnome is napped by a collector that can't accept the words "no sale" from a crazy hoarder. $50000 is a lot of money to pass up. Hoarders can be pretty strong willed, and a little nuts! But what if they decide to hoard gnomes?

Sunday, June 2, 2013. Gnomes by Vivian Russell. April 1, 2005. Apparently this is a historical account of how Garden Gnomes became a popular thing. Worth checking out? You can find it pretty cheap on Amazon. Vivian Russell traces the Garden Gnome phenomenon back to 1847 England. However, gnomes were a thing before that in Germany, although not something used in outdoorsy gardens and landscaping. I found some reviews. This one from Home and Garden. Reads more like a book report. View my complete profile.
