close knit: New Shiraito
http://closeknitportland.blogspot.com/2015/05/new-shiraito.html
Close knit: the neighborhood yarn shop. Sunday, May 10, 2015. I mentioned that Noro is having a bit of resurgence at our little shop. We have plumped up our supply of Shiraito. In response to the popularity of the lovely Soft Waves Hat. The new colorways we have in stock are really beautiful. Some are bright and cheerful. Others are muted and more natural. They are all quite nice, though, aren't they? Not really a bad choice, is there? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Knitting: Beginning and Beyond.

close knit: Summer Interweave
http://closeknitportland.blogspot.com/2015/05/summer-interweave.html
Close knit: the neighborhood yarn shop. Friday, May 15, 2015. The latest issue of Interweave Knits. Is in the shop. Normally, the summer issue leaves me unimpressed, but there are several items in here that really caught my eye. There is a whole section of outdoorsy, camping sort of stuff that I really liked. Several of the knitted headbands and head scarves look very wearable. These quick knits are prefect for summer knitting and wearing. And Mount Robson Pullover. I loved the Phyllotaxis Hat.

close knit: Alpaca Dream
http://closeknitportland.blogspot.com/2014/12/alpaca-dream.html
Close knit: the neighborhood yarn shop. Monday, December 8, 2014. I think I've written before about my holiday knitting. I love making things for family and friends, but I also get a little selfish. I need to have a nice, mindless therapy project on the needles this time of year for my sanity. I want you to have one, too, so I'm offering up the Alpaca Dream. Once you get started, it's just knitting in the round with some luxurious alpaca yarn. What better way to curb any potential holiday stress? Place t...

Close knit: the neighborhood yarn shop. Sunday, October 10, 2010. Nancy has another free pattern for us, as well as the helpful photo tutorial below. We just received a fresh shipment of Silky Flamme. At the shop, so you have your choice of gorgeous colors for this sweet little project. This is a pretty simple and straight forward knit, with some sewing at the end. Its length is easily adaptable; the longer you make it, the looser it will drape around your neck. Time to finish your piece with several row...
