Hello again LEGO Fans, I apologise for my absence and have decided to bring you a little treat I have been holding for a while now as a way to making it up to you. Back in November I took a little break from my usual format to show you the LEGO idea books from the late 80s and 90s, well it’s time to do it again except now it’s with Castle sets. The LEGO Idea Book 6000-1 (1980). The LEGO Idea Book 200 4 (1985). The LEGO Idea Book 250-1 (1987).

Thursday, 31 March 2011. Lego Pirates Wave 1 1989 - 1991. The Pirate Sets of Wave 1. This is an article over viewing all the available sets released in what I call the first wave of pirate, (check out my pirate history blog for more info). Set Name = Buried Treasure 6235. Piece Count = 20. The first impulse set I will review from 1989 (and the first set I remember getting for my pirate collection) looks simple but is actually a fantastic set, it includes a pirate with his flag and weapons, but most excit...

Sunday, 27 November 2011. Special Pirate Sets, the LEGO Idea Books. Taking a little break from my regular routine of following a faction, I have decided to show you some very special pirate pictures, in the hope that you all experience a little bit of nostalgia or possibly surprise. From all these books (there were about twenty in total), LEGO explored Pirates twice, in Idea Book 260-1 (1990) and 697-1 (1997), I here with me now, the combined pictures from both those books, I hope you enjoy. Steve's LEGO Blog: August 2011
http://legosteveblog.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 23 August 2011. The Lego Black Falcon Sets 1984-1992. The Black Falcons were the second of two original factions release by TLG after the first wave (the second being Crusaders). Like the Crusaders they lasted for eight years though, they were a very small faction in comparison. Indeed over that entire period they only received seven sets of their own, but they did appear as the antagonist in many others. If only the Falcon’s lived in peace with Crusaders as pictured above; one final piece...

Tuesday, 27 March 2012. An Easy Medieval LEGO House. Taking a break from my usual format I have decided to bring you a build of my own. Now for anyone familiar with my articles you will know I am a huge fan of the civilian side of LEGO Castle, but this particular obsession is not always easy to indulge. To build this house I bought three sets, here they are listed below. The Log Cabin (set 5766). Blacksmith Attack (set 6918). Knight and Castle Building Set (set 5929). I call it the LEGO Log Cabin MOD.
