據李派傳譜記載，清代太極拳主要流派有 河南派 ，舊稱 "溫州 (即河南溫縣) 蔣派 (即北派太極)、 江南派 (即南派太極)、 陝西派 (可能為北宋張三峰後所傳陝西王宗一派，此派今不得所聞)。 序 言得蔣發所傳太極拳為 內家武當派悟修之真傳 ，因之亦稱 武當嫡傳悟修派太極拳。 後祿禪將太極拳之真諦、口訣心法以及拳譜、宗譜，包括陳長興之 序 ，一并盡授王蘭亭，故蘭亭之技成為佼佼者(李派關於蔣發傳陳長興這種說法，在趙堡太極拳源流上，因蔣發與陳長興相差時代太大，此 序 今又因無原物，皆為抄件，所以已引起太極拳界爭議，疑為偽作，有待進一步考證)。 李派太極拳吸收了 江南派 太極拳文武拳架，尤以武架見長，步法行八卦奇門，打法為 離 、 粘 、 隨 ，剛柔並濟，快慢相間，蛇纏鶴躍，離奇閃轉。 理論體系有 二二 字 五字要言 (前二十句為楊班侯所傳)、王蘭亭先生 序 、李瑞東先生 序 、陳長興 序 及其它古典全經。 說其博大 世間萬物無不包括 言其精深 萬法疏密無不滲透。 究竟"文"是什麼 "化"又如何解釋 如果不研究其真意，是永遠不明 文化 是何義理。 太極如意扇 - 於民國90年發行 (2001).
