I have a bowl (always dry, without milk, flake by flake) in the morning only to find myself having another one as soon as I realize my mouth stopped munching! During tea break I would make a bee line to the pantry and pour a bowl of crispy crunchy regular cornflakes. I always end up having another soon after I had nothing to munch. Mom would either twist and bruise or pound the leaves and stir fry it with wild ginger shoot called tepu in Bidayuh language. The Ibans call it 'tepus', Kelabits call it 'tubu nanung' and the Kadazan, Dusun and Murut of Sabah call it 'tuhau'. Bruised tapioca leaves stir fried with tepu, served with fresh chili. Thursday, July 1, 2010. Kolo' Me at Pucuk Ubi. I went to Restoran Pucuk Ubi. For lunch today. Haven't seen my friends there for months. Had a serving of Kolo' Mee and a glass of Teh C Peng. The dry noodle was served with two big prawns and calamari strips. The prawns were juicy and tasty, as was the noodle's light gravy. The calamari strips added to the seafood style. There are also the beef and chicken style on the menu but I felt like an extraordinary person today, hence my choice. Kolo Me at Pucuk Ubi.
