Wednesday, 26 November 2014. RM1005 on Route 188 for Poppy Appeal. Thanks to the conductor of RM1005 for giving me the posters of these Poppy Appeal Routemasters for the past two years! On the 7th November, RML903 ran a limited service on Route 4, whilst RM1005 ran a service on the 188. The same crew did the 188 as the previous year, and, well, it ran VERY late. When it was due at Surrey Quays on its last full run, the bus was only just leaving Surrey Quays towards North Greenwich! Links to this post.

Monday, 20 April 2015. Picture Archive Post 34. London Central MAL84 (BX54 UDO) on Route 12, Westminster, 17/06/07. The original blinds for the articulated Citaros were oddly in New Johnston font, opposed to the normal Johnston font on blinds. Route 12 is a route with a long and interesting history, notably as being a very long route. The London Transport scheduling system had a limit of four garages running a bus route - this just coincidentally was the amount of garages operating the 12 during the 1970s.

Wednesday, 31 December 2014. Hants Cuts: Fleet Buzz 30 and 77. Yes, the year changes number. Oh well, not good news for some in Hampshire. Fleet Buzz 30 is a casualty of the Hampshire County Council bus cuts due to a lack of usage on part of the route, with many other routes covering the old route. Stagecoach South 16261 on Fleet Buzz Route 30, Fleet Station. The reason why an Olympian was used on the 30 was said by the following 77 driver as cold weather meant "4 buses could not start up". Highgate Lane...

Wednesday, 29 July 2015. The other Romford change at the end of June was the 499, also to Stagecoach but from Arriva at Grays. It's a bit of a round the houses, back road type of route but is secretly useful as a means of leaving Romford via the 173 for Jacek(! Arriva Kent Thameside 3973 on Route 499, Romford Station (© Jacek). Previous stuff on the route included some Cadets which were a nice ride and some E200s that weren't (clapped out, etc). These buses have white blinds due to the 498, of course.

Saturday, 27 September 2014. General Lateness - 100 to London General 20/09/14. The 100 is a small route that plys through the south and eastern end of Central London. The route uses smaller, less than 10m single deckers, and has recently passed to London General. Only the buses are late, so Abellio London are kind enough to lend London General their buses until the new Enviro 200s (the lazy hybrid ones, or the ones with flywheels retrofitted) arrive. London General 8318 on Route 100, St Paul's Churchyard.
