The Turnarounds: November 2009
http://aaronandvanae.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Friday afternoon when I was checking Paige's backpack for homework, parent notes. I found a very informative letter reminding me that I needed to bring her Birth Certificate to school by a certain date or we would then be reported and an investigation. Would then be started. (Oops, we were in SLC. During registration, there were a other things on our mind at the time.) I know I had her certificate but somewhere between Virginia and Idaho it became MIA, probably in.

Grizz and Fru: May 2011
http://grizzandfru.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Together forever and ever and ever and ever. Sunday, May 15, 2011. Our first big project this spring was to take out the big messy tree in front of our house. Yes, the monkey in this picture is Nick and that is our huge tree out front (well, not anymore! I should have started taking pictures and videos earlier but this is the first video of part of the tree coming down. Watch the branches fly when it lands. And down it goes! It took a few tries to pull it down but we finally got it done!

Last week: i read about another LGBTQ teen suicide in UT. Today: saw the lds church's new web. Site on mormons and gays. i think these thoughts: nouns. names. stupid words. Being quite ...

and flowers pick themselves: February 2013
http://flowerspickthemselves.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
And flowers pick themselves. Sunday, February 24, 2013. A cat and a boy laze on the couch, ignoring dirty dishes stacked in three teetering piles atop the dining room table. There are cat-naps to be slept and kitchens to be cleaned, but neither the cat nor the boy wishes to disrupt the lazy ritual of Sunday-afternoon-couch-sitting. The cat peeks out half-lidded eyes and thinks whisker-thoughts while the boy daydreams of black-and-white movies and a dancer he met a few weeks ago. Links to this post. Writi...

And flowers pick themselves. Monday, February 27, 2012. Yes, Right In Here! I have beautiful nieces. I call them Pretty Girl and Sweet Pea. They are happy, confident, inquisitive, kind little girls. They are creative and intelligent. They love to sing. They like to wrestle with their daddy and their uncles. They love good treats and they just can't dance enough! Come on, show'em what your worth! I think Sweet Pea was quite surprised to see actual fireworks spurting from the chests of the people in the vi...

And flowers pick themselves. Wednesday, January 2, 2013. It's almost christmas. you are heading to the mountains at mom&dad's. anxiety presses up against your stomach and lungs. as you get closer to home, you begin to argue and argue. And where are YOU? You tell HIM you think your own vision probably isn't any better, but it's yours but it feels right but it feels scary because it feel so goddamn big and true to you. Deeply-breathing-BEAUTIFUL-everywhere-you-look, you concede: ok. You press the pedal dow...
