Sneezing, itching, eyes streaming – wandering the garden like a small walking storm system, watering hankies, thinking how marvellous it is my body can intercept and register so well all this fertility of the plants! Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed – Gandhi. Don’t change that lightbulb. As we approach more and more scientific certainty about the impacts of anthropological climate change, local climate action groups are forming. They are likeminded citizens who want to ‘do something’ and form these groups to attempt to encourage government action. Is it worth their time and effort? Buy your groceries in a reusable bag! 2011: year of soup! | mavisandjack
https://herbivorous.wordpress.com/2011/01/23/2011-year-of-soup
Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed – Gandhi. 2011: year of soup! We have a lot of cookbooks. A lot! Most of them are vegan but some are not – although a lot of the recipes are either vegan or veganisable. This year, the husband and I have decided that we will make soup. Lots of it! In fact, the aim is to make all the soup recipes we have, to see what we like and which we can abandon! I’m looking forward to this challenge! January 23, 2011 at 6:46 pm.

Friday, May 22, 2009. Brown life, brim full. Went for a wander this evening to enjoy the damp autumn with Yarrow and was amazed to find so many different fungi budding up through leaf litter and pine needles, even in the nooks and dark places of our own garden. Along the railway tracks and under our nasturtiums, soft nutbrown homes for wee folk. . The fungi budding up like periscopes, hiding in the dark, enjoying the damp and the fire colours of autumn. . And light a candle in its window. Canberra Organi...
