The Other Side of the World. Adventures, wanderings, and musings of an expat abroad. Thursday, May 29, 2014. I could not have said it better. This blogger sums up June for expats. Why Expats Hate June. And expat teachers. It's bitter-sweet. Hate the good-byes, but so thankful it's finally. Cheers to June. for all its craziness, sadness, happiness and excitement! Sunday, May 25, 2014. Thankful it's a small world! That's what happened this weekend. Look at that awful hair Kim! Saturday, May 24, 2014. I wil...

http://kimberlyjo.blogspot.com/2015/04/tallin-estonia.html
The Other Side of the World. Adventures, wanderings, and musings of an expat abroad. Sunday, April 12, 2015. Want to get off the beaten path in Europe? I highly recommend Estonia. We only visited Tallin, the capital, but it was full of beauty, interest and surprises. Highlights included:. Beautiful old medieval town. I recommend the walking tour that starts at 12:00. In front of the tourist information office. And super inexpensive for local and imported beers! We tried some great beers at Hell Hunt.
The Other Side of the World: November 2014

The Other Side of the World. Adventures, wanderings, and musings of an expat abroad. Sunday, November 16, 2014. Do we stay or do we go? This question always arises in the fall, before teacher contracts have to be signed. International school teachers have to decide if they walk the plank, don't sign their contracts for next year and take a leap of faith they'll find something else. Something better. Who knows if we're satisfied where we're at? As you can see we're definitely not in the ready-to-go. Categ...

http://krissiasanadult.blogspot.com/2013/07/the-dilemma-of-quaker-time.html
If you have a novel to write you will write it and it will cost you your life if it is worth writing - Praeders Letters. Saturday, July 27, 2013. The dilemma of Quaker time. Quakers have a lot of terminology that can be overwhelming to convinced Quakers. It can be daunting even for birthright Quakers. 1. See what I mean? 8221; And then went on to quote Lord of the Rings because it’s always worth lingering on for just a little bit longer. 8220;Our friends are out there! Here is the world. Beautiful and terrible things will happen. Don't be afraid. -Frederick Buechner. Wednesday, June 27, 2012. What are you DOING with your summer? I just want to say 2 things:. I wish EVERYONE had 3 day weekends. Americans work too much. I wish EVERYONE had a summer break. Americans don't get enough vacation. I am the queen of relaxing but before you judge me too harshly, here's what I'm up to:. When else in life are we put into a 12-month age group? Think about how families function when...

http://meandmywifemary.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 28, 2008. What will my blog be? Well true to form, I set up a blog and have not posted a single one until now. I am not sure if I am that much of a procrastinator or not; I have been trying to convince myself that I have been so busy as to not have time to write, but I am certain my wife would disagree with that statement. Inside my head. I have to search for answers. I'll start with the name of the blog, which is " meandmywifemary. As me Also, as much as a procrastinator. On to more pressi...

An Attempt At Authenticity. Friday, January 20, 2012. What's your dream. (everybody's got a dream.). Note: As you may (or may not) have noticed, I've taken a rather prolonged hiatus from blogging. I'm in the process of working on a completely new blog that will launch later this spring. Until then, I wasn't planning to do any writing. That was until my friend Justin Zoradi. Founder/executive director of These Numbers Have Faces. Asked me to write a post as a part of the organization's We Have A Dream Week.

An Attempt At Authenticity. Thursday, April 7, 2011. I met Brandon Heath Knell shortly after he arrived at Young Life's Malibu Club (in Canada) for the first time. He was a teenager, and I had just finished my first year of college. We served on the Outdoor Crew together for three weeks, I as the Summer Staff Garbage Man, and Brandon as the Work Crew kid that sat in the rubber dingy at the bottom of the zip line. I felt it first when I was younger,. A strange connection to the light. I never got it right.

An Attempt At Authenticity. Wednesday, May 14, 2008. Sunday was Mother's Day, and it was pretty dang sweet. I showed up at my parents house at about 7:30 am with a bouquet of Lilacs (one of my mom's favorite flowers). They definitely weren't expecting me, and frankly I hadn't planned to see them. I was just going to leave the flowers on the porch with a card. Okay, I don't remember that. I love my mom. I love you mom. Posted by Robby Larson. 171; Older Posts. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

An Attempt At Authenticity. Wednesday, December 23, 2009. And with that, Linus begins his annual reminder of the meaning of Christmas. Many of us have watched A Charlie Brown Christmas. For decades. It's a classic, and for some its one of the best parts of the holidays. And yet even in light of the truth that Brother Linus preaches, we continually find ways to make Christmas something else. Despite our best efforts to take the focus off it's true meaning, that's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.

An Attempt At Authenticity. Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Getting back to the point. I am dying to be known. Can anyone concur? And yet, sometimes, I forget that being known as someone who I am NOT doesn’t feel any better than not being known in the first place. In fact, I think it feels worse.". These earnest words belong to my friend Ally Spotts from her recent post "the truth, the lies, and the not talking.". To answer Ally's initial question.Yes, I concur. Do you? Posted by Robby Larson.
