Donnerstag, 27. März 2008. LVG on the meadow. This photo has a crashed LVG biplane on display. It gives a good view on the motor and the area around it but im not sure which LVG type it is. The crash was at Hazavant Ferme. It could possibly be a machine of the Bavarian FFA 7b which was based in this area in early 1916. (Thanks to Reinhard Kastner for this info). To start with this postcard, it was used in 1916 and depicts a captured french Caudron G3 that was forced to land on 02-December-1915 in northern France and dismantled by the Germans. Donnerstag, 25. Oktober 2007. German Two-Seaters in focus: Part II. Last time we had the LVG C.II machine. Here we have another two seater machine with a large group of airmen? Posing in front of it. First thing would be to identify the model type. My first guess would be another Alb. C.III. Since ive seen versions with the chimney to the left and others to the right. I guess it depends on the motor and factory specific differences to distinguish. Any comments are appreciated. 26 Oktober 2007 um 16:14.
