Hewa Happenings: February 2011
http://hewafam.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 28, 2011. These three have been so much fun recently. Yes, we still have our moments, but in general they are in a really enjoyable stage and I am soaking it up! As you can see above, Grace, Isaac and Eli are finally having a lot of fun playing. There are afternoons when I pause to just take in the fact that they are in the other room playing together. For more than five minutes. Can I get an AMEN? A few things that stand out to me about each of them these days:. I know, little buddies, ...

Hewa Happenings: Dates
http://hewafam.blogspot.com/2011/04/dates.html
Saturday, April 23, 2011. I loved listening to her sing, tell me stories, and just talk with me as we shared the morning together. Eli spent the morning with Coco, playing at her house and having lunch at Whitworth with Landon, Sarah and Nicole. He was eager to tell me all about it. We've also been enjoying time recently with our new little buddy, Sydney Smith! Sydney was born to our good friends Kyle and Mindy at the end of January and has quickly become one of our new favorite people.

Hewa Happenings: September 2010
http://hewafam.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Times, They Are A Changin'. It has been a time of transitions in our household. Transition #1: Grace and Isaac are now in week two of pre-school. How did my little munchkins get to this point already - SCHOOL? Sorry buddy, you're stuck with me for another two years. :) Really though, I am looking forward to have a couple of mornings each week to focus on Eli, while knowing the other two are learning, growing and enjoying their time away from us. We'll somehow figure out a way...

Monday, April 26, 2010. Add to the Beauty. There are only a handful of musicians that I would classify myself as a fan of, but Sara Groves is one of them. I appreciate the honesty and depth of her lyrics, the way she can write playful ditties as well as moving melodies about the tougher issues of life. Aside from that, I'm just a fan of her acoustic, female sound! Add to the Beauty. By Sara Groves and Matt Bronlewee. We come with beautiful secrets. We come to every new morning. To tell a better story.

Hewa Happenings: January 2011
http://hewafam.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 10, 2011. Birthdays are funny things. I'm sure many parents can relate - in some ways it feels like Eli has been around far more than two years and yet, I feel like I've turned around twice and he went from being a bleary-eyed and wholly dependent newborn to a busy, running, talking toddler who is beginning to seek independence. A little overwhelmed at all of the attention - at least one of them is. He belly-laughed over these "quack-quack" cup cakes each time he saw them. You, darling bo...

The KJs: Avlynne Kay Johnson
http://johnsonkjs.blogspot.com/2012/04/avlynne-kay-johnson.html
Sunday, April 29, 2012. So, here is a poem my Dad wrote for Avlynne when she was born. I will save it in her babybook but wanted to make sure it was somewhere else safe and sound. Plus, I wanted to "show-off" my Dad's gift that he occasionally blesses his family with. He has become quite the thoughtful writer in his later years. Now, we know your name. See your face, in the light of day. Saw your face, knew your name. God, before creation, deem your stay. Graciously given, Johnson name. Over many, many d...
