Our oldest daughter recently turned 11. We usually get up on birthday morning and make pancakes in the shape of the age that the girls are turning. It's something fun that they can look forward to. I tried to find a "grown up" cake for Em this year, she is too big for the cartoon cakes and too little for the old flower ones. She's getting so old, one more year of primary.
