ren-o-baking: August 2013
http://ren-o-baking.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 26, 2013. Dinner - Filled Squash. Our new neighborhood is proving to be quite friendly. We've already received banana bread, dessert bars, cucumbers, and squash! Tonight I used the squash as the base for a simple filling. Something about black beans, corn, and rotel that makes anything great. The only other thing to this recipe was shredded chicken (I've used shredded pork and I'm sure ground hamburger, or maybe even quinoa would work as well). 2-3 chicken breasts, shredded. Oh yes, I also...

ren-o-baking: November 2011

Thursday, November 10, 2011. A Few "New" Accessories. I've been hitting the antique stores/garage sales up lately for some fun things to display and help make for some pretty storage. I thought I'd share a few random pictures with you. I know it's just a glimpse into His handiwork, but I like to take in the simple things. First of all, I went back to the 70's for Halloween. I found an awesome dress for $4 and though it'd work great. Cute little owl (In the bottom right corner): World Market, $7? Amazing ...

ren-o-baking: July 2012
http://ren-o-baking.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 16, 2012. I got this idea from pinterest I believe. It's been awhile, so I can't find the original pin :( Sorry! The tubs that I saw were painted with house numbers on them and looked so pretty! For my first tub, I went with the number idea, using a previous house number for a little nostalgic value. You can have that even if you've only been married 4.5 years, right? I had a stencil from Hobby Lobby to use and just applied the paint with a sponge brush. I also thought about putting some pla...

ren-o-baking: June 2011
http://ren-o-baking.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 30, 2011. First of all, no, I am not talking about baking Reno, NV! This whole blog will be devoted to home renovations and baking. These two go along great because what better to get you through the not-always-so-fun easy-to-get-stressed home renovations than a great sweet treat? So, to get started, here is a picture of our home:. Such a cute little brick home don't you think? My husband actually bought this house without me seeing it in person, but I have really grown to love it! Not onl...

ren-o-baking: Painting by the Yard!
http://ren-o-baking.blogspot.com/2012/07/painting-by-yard.html
Thursday, July 12, 2012. Painting by the Yard! This painting was quite the project. It took longer than I anticipated, but I really like how it turned out! I won't go through detailed instructions as you can get that from the inspiration link! Glad that I stopped because I think anymore would be too much! Inspiration from Young House Love. Here it is in place. I want to recover the lamp, but really wanted to wait until I saw it in place to decide on the color. Still not quite sure though! I love it when ...

ren-o-baking: Squash Casserole
http://ren-o-baking.blogspot.com/2011/10/squash-casserole.html
Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Squash, not the squash my husband likes to play with the crazy courts and rackets, but the kind that comes in about every shape possible. When I was younger, I don't think I gave squash much of a chance. Of course I liked pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, and I even liked brown sugared acorn squash (who wouldn't? Pumpkin is considered a squash, right? So, here's how I make it. Squash, peeled (I tend to use one zucchini and one yellow squash). Cream of chicken soup. 5) Add in 1 cup ...

ren-o-baking: October 2011
http://ren-o-baking.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 24, 2011. It was my nephew's birthday last week and I wanted to create something fun for him that he could use over and over again. I have seen buntings all over Pinterest, so I decided to whip out some sewing skills to make a fun happy birthday one! Here they are all laid out on our full size guest bed. I had to overlap some of them because they wouldn't all fit! I could have made a quilt out of all of them. I actually only used about half of these, and had bought more. I wasn't worried ...
