http://jillianinburundi.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Upendo, Amahoro, and Coffee. Friday, January 29, 2010. A Change to Make. There is no going back, there is no re-doing it, but there is a sense of re-living it. Moment by moment in my mind as I think back to all of the things that I saw. All the things I experienced. All of the things that I cant solve. All the things I would want to solve if I could snap my fingers and make Burundi a better place. It's a big question. Easier said than done, but possible right? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The drive down the coast along Lake Tanginyka was beautiful! On the way back from Gitega we stopped at a market in the Mountains. Pictured below are sweet potatoes. I am headed up to Gitega next week as well. Hopefully I will have an opportunity to take some more pictures! Monday, October 20, 2008. Sunset over the Congo. Tuesday, October 14, 2008.

Upendo, Amahoro, and Coffee.: Joshua's Story
http://jillianinburundi.blogspot.com/2011/06/joshuas-story.html
Upendo, Amahoro, and Coffee. Sunday, June 5, 2011. Joshua: Naomi's Village's first child. His story is a sad one that can be found in the Kenyan news. Drunk one evening, Joshua's father came home and murdered his pregnant mother and two brothers while Joshua hid under a table and watched. His father then hung himself on a rafter over the very table Joshua was hiding under. Neighbors found Joshua still hiding under the table the following morning. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
